Cultural Information:

An early successional species with white flowers and a small, red fruit. Can be locally abundant on disturbed land. Up to 40′ tall and 2/3 as wide. Grows rapidly and is very adaptable to different soil types but will ultimately yield to shade of other, later successional species.
